Personal & Academic Development Portfolio
Welcome to my portfolio page for MED6176.

Below you will see some of the organisations I have worked with and the duties I did for each Client. I will also share links of published work and other portfolio examples of my PR and Communications work.
The Shortbread Company
My role with The Shortbread Company was 'Content Creator and Social Media Manager'.

I was asked to assist them with their launch of their new Shortbread Subscription Box by creating a social media campaign and an email marketing campaign

Below is a link to the blog section of the website which I created

I also created a series of images to showcase their summer collection which also assisted with their subscription box launch.
A selection of Facebook posts I created
The Shortbread Company and I won a BCU Careers+ Award for 'Best Student and Business Collaboration'
Scratch Radio
During my final year of University I was the Head of Communications for Scratch Radio.

Throughout this time I was responsible for the internal and external communications for the Station.

I reassessed the current communication methods and created a more representative and varied approach, as well as creating new visuals for the Station and co-managing social media posts.

I also managed my own team who assisted me with the Marketing and Communication work.

Katharine House Hospice
I did a two week placement here with the Marketing, Communications and Fundraising team.

My duties included; writing press releases, doing a fundraising and communications audit and also assisting with write-ups for newsletters and social media campaigns.

The most prominent event I assisted with was the launch of a new fundraising event called 'Extreme Warrior' which is an obstacle based fun-run.

Here is a statement from Katharine House Head of Marketing in reflection of my time with them.
I also wrote the description for the website page but due to the current Coronavirus pandemic the event has been cancelled and the page is not available.

Variety, The Children's Charity.
Variety Midlands required assistance with their social media presence as well as overall PR support.

Variety had no regional social media for their Midlands branch. I worked alongside the Regional Director to create proposals and begin a social media strategy which lead to the creation and maintenance of a regional Facebook and Twitter account.

I have also created various written pieces and press releases for Variety Midlands, along with event and content calendars.
NB: Events on the website have been removed due to cancellation as a consequence of the current pandemic.
